Mark Wahlberg (right) will take over from Shia LaBeouf as the human lead in director Michael Bay’s fourth Transformers movie.

The pair recently worked on Pain And Gain together and Bay has also confirmed that the sequel for the robot blockbuster, due for release on June 27, 2014, will be set four years after last series entry Dark of the Moon.

Meanwhile, Little Miss Sunshine screenwriter Michael Arndt is Disney’s choice to pen Star Wars: Episode VII.

Arndt’s treatment is rumoured to take in all three films in the new trilogy.
