X Factor band prepare for Dumbarton gig

BRIGHT sparks High Voltage were in town this week to check out the venue for their lights switch-on show in Dumbarton.

The girl band, who made it to X Factor boot camp fame, are the star act when Dumbarton turns on the festive style on Saturday.

They met with deputy provost Ronnie McColl to finalise details for the event which begins at midday in the High Street with music, competitions, fun fairs, food stalls, face painting, choirs, cheerleaders, a visit from Santa and the big switch-on countdown at 4.30pm.

The band’s Libby said: “We are mad busy with rehearsing and going into recording studios and are being invited to all sorts of events but this will be mega.”

Councillor McColl added: “These girls are real live wires. I think they could probably power the Christmas lights on enthusiasm alone. Saturday will be fantastic.”
