Lodge on Loch Lomond charity event on St Andrew's Day

A LOCH Lomondside hotel is hosting a St Andrew’s celebration in aid of a cancer charity on Saturday.

The Lodge on Loch Lomond is organising the event, which includes a four-course dinner, charity auction and entertainment, in aid of Maggie’s Centre Glasgow.

Former Sons’ and Celtic star, Murdo McLeod, is hosting the evening which features prizes ranging from a seaplane flight to a week in a Spanish villa.

Maureen Fee, Maggie’s Glasgow centre head, who is speaking at the dinner, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been chosen as the beneficiary for Lodge on Loch Lomond’s annual fundraising dinner. Glasgow and the surrounding areas have a high incidence of cancer, which is why large-scale fundraising events like this are so important. On behalf of Maggie’s, I would like to say a huge thank-you to Lodge on Loch Lomond.”

Hotel owner, Niall Colquhoun, said he hoped to raise as much money as possible on the night.

Anyone wishing to offer support or buy tickets should contact the hotel’s events team on 01436 860 201 or e-mail events@loch-lomond.co.uk. Tickets are priced at £55 per person or £600 for a corporate table of 12.
