HELENSBURGH motor racing team Auto Technique moved into the lead of the Scottish Motor Racing Club Classic Sports Car Series at the weekend.
Olly Ross, Kenway Motor School’s boss, drove the Auto Technique 1971 Lotus Europa at the Knockhill racing circuit. He has won this 16 race series the past two years and, with 15 other titles to his name, is one of the country's most successful racing drivers.
With an entry of more than 52 cars, top line drivers from all over Britain compete in this championship, which is the best supported in Scottish racing circles.
All cars must be built before 1979 and must look original, but are in fact rebuilt as new in full race specification and can lap Knockhill as quick as many modern machines.
Olly is also sponsored by Helensburgh Tyre Services, Hart Insurance in Clydebank and long time supporters, Bruno's Hairdressers in Dumbarton.
