WHEELCHAIR tennis sensation Gordon Reid won the men’s consolation singles final in the Santi Silvas Memorial Tournament in Olot, Spain on Saturday.
To lift the title, the Helensburgh teenager had to beat Paralympic double gold medallist Lahcen Madji of France, which he did in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, to take the honours.
He and doubles partner Kevin Simpson also reached the semi final of the doubles tournament, but lost out to Dutchmen Tom Egberink and Maikel Scheffers 4-6, 6-2, 6-0.
