LOMOND Rock finished their season on a high with a 5-0 win over Eaglesham – then dedicated the victory to their co-manager’s late wife.
In what was a very difficult day for everyone connected with the club, the funeral of Cha McGregor’s wife Joan took place on the morning of the match.
A minute’s silence was held before kick-off and the lads played with Joan and Cha on their minds.
With the match switched toMerkins Park in Bellsmyre, a good crowd assembled to cheer the boys on andthe spectators were treated to asuperb performance from start tofinish.
An early header from Gary Quinn put Rock ahead and Steven Marsland fired home the second shortly after to score the Rock's 100th goal of the season.
A Kevin Graham volley put the rock three up before Bell, Alistair Stewart, and Andrew Campbell came on for the tired Simon Marment, Mark Beaumont and James Gallacher.
Good build up play resulted in Gary netting his second of the day and the impressive Tony Hainey blasted the ball high past the keeper to complete the rout.
