Angling: Leven Valley club wrap up season

OVER 100 fish were caught on Leven Valley Trout Angling Club’s final trip to Loch Awe.
George McCreadie won the Robert McPherson Memorial Trophy and the A & B Butchers prize with 28 rainbow trout. Peter McCue and Davy Hemphill also caught some excellent brown trout.
Four club members, R Fish, G McCreadie, G Mackenzie, and D Taylor, shared this year’s 10 trophies between them, with D Hemphill, F Hilson and P McCue giving them a run for their money.
There will be a meeting on Saturday, November 22, at 11am in the Brock Bowling Club, Dumbarton, to discuss the future of the club and any new trips for next year.
Anyone thinking about taking up fishing or joining the club are welcome to attend.
