Cullen is out for revenge in Belfast

A BALLOCH mixed martial arts star will do battle in Belfast this weekend.

And John Cullen, of Dumbarton-based Dinky Ninja Fight Team (DNFT), is out for revenge against Steven ‘Taz’ McCoomb.

McCoomb recently defeated Cullen’s pal – fellow DNFT member Martin Nicolson – so he is really fired up for the bout.

John said: “Martin’s one of my main training partners, so I’m out to even the score.

“Training’s been going well and I’m confident. I had a chest infection for a couple of weeks which slowed me down a bit, but I’m back on track and ready for this fight.”

Meanwhile, DNFT fighter John Quinn’s planned trip to Sweden is in doubt as it’s looking likely his opponent will pull out of the bout.

The 25-year-old Balloch man was due to fly out tomorrow (Thursday) in a bid to maintain his unbeaten record of four wins and no losses.
