DO you want to lead a healthier lifestyle but don't know how to get started?
If so, then jogscotland could be what you are looking for.
The jogscotland programme is supported by the Health Education Board of Scotland (HEBS), scottishathletics and sportscotland.
The programme encourages people to gradually increase their activity levels to help improve their health and well-being, and to fight against heart disease, high blood pressure, weight gain and stress.
People who could not jog for 30 seconds at the start of the beginner's level are now jogging continuously for 15-20 minutes after only 15 weeks.
Organised by West Dunbartonshire Council's Sports Development Unit, there are jogscotland groups at the following venues:
Alexandria Community Education Centre (Wednesday 6.30pm – beginners to advanced)
West Bridgend Hall, Dumbarton (Tuesday 6.15pm – all levels, walk to jog ,beginners to advanced)
