West Dunbartonshire Athletics Club girls team shows up well

WEST Dunbartonshire Athletics Club’s under-13 girls stormed through in the recent Scottish Athletics Under-13 Superteam event, held at Wishaw Stadium.

With over 30 clubs from around Scotland taking part the girls really did well, gaining 127 points, which put them in 15th place.

Each girl had to compete in the 800m, long jump, javelin and 4x100m relay. The results were:

Emma Boyle: 800m in 2.56, a long jump of 3.15m and a javelin throw of 10.

Emily Paxton: 800m in 3.12, a long jump of 2.42m and a javelin throw of 10.

Erin Ball: 800m in 3.03, a long jump of 2.64m and a javelin throw of 10.

Nicole Kilgallon: 800m in 2.58, long jump of 2.46m and a javelin of 12.

The girls also completed the 4x100m relay in 64.1.
