CLYDESDALE Harriers athletes were involved in two races on Saturday, March 21.
First was the Chapelgill Hill Race in Glenholm, which was 2.4k in distance and 430m in ascent. Prasad Prasad was his usual dominant self, winning the race in a time of 19.34.
The other race was the Scottish Junior Road Racing Championships at East Kilbride. First off were the under-13 girls running 3000m. Mirren Wright was first harrier home (12.54), followed by Roisin McShea (13.39) and Rachel Busby (13.58). Next was the under-15 girls running 4500m. Claire Reid ran well to finish in 20.22.
The under 15 boys also ran the same distance and had Tony Dolan running 17.25. Peter Bowman represented the club in the under-17 boys category running 6000m in a swift 21.55.
Lastly was the under-20 men running 7500m. Fastest harrier was Ryan Savage (27.51), followed by David Brown (30.27), and Ryan Nelson (30.54). The three of them were also fourth team overall.
Last weekend was the Jim Dingwall Memorial Race (Round the Houses 10k) at Grangemouth. Results next week.
