WITH the track season finishing up and the road races few and far between, the month of July was always going to be a quiet time for the Clydesdale Harriers.
However, two Harriers braved soaring temperatures to compete in the Ballater 10-miler. A hilly course at the best of times, the highest temperatures recorded for the year didn't make things easy for Kath Scott and Bobby Rossborough, both also recovering from injury.
However, they did the club proud, with Bobby first in running just under 70 minutes and Kath coming in two minutes later to be fifth lady overall and winning second veteran prize (71.45).
The next races for the Harriers are the Helensburgh Half Marathon on Sunday, the Tour of Clydeside (August 4-8) and the Devil O'The Highlands 43 mile ultra (August 9).
