THREE African runners soared to victory in the first of the Polaroid 10k series in Helensburgh last week.
Amanuel Hagos, of Shettleston Harriers Eritrea, ran an incredible time of 29min 41sec to win the race.
He was joined on the podium by clubmates Tsegezab Teweldemichael (30min 19sec) and Tewoldeberhan Mengisteab (30min 21 sec).
Last year’s winner, Robert Gilroy of Cambuslang Harriers, had to settle for fourth spot in 31min 28sec.
Over 600 runners finished the race, which was the first to start from the brand new Hermitage Academy building.
The next event in the Polaroid series takes place tomorrow (Thursday) in Clydebank.
