Vale Golf Club winners celebrate a successful season

Vale of Leven Golf Club is celebrating a very successful season.

The club was overall and section winner of the Thomson McCrone League, winner of the County Texas Scramble and Gents Inter County knockout as well as semi-finalist in the McIntyre knockout league.

The club came second in the Junior McIntyre League and Junior Inter County Knockout.

Individually, Craig Checkley scooped three titles, County Matchplay Champion, County Strokeplay Champion and County Spring Meeting Scratch Winner, while David Myrbakk was the County Handicap Championship Winner.

Junior member John Gilmour won the qualifying event that was held on behalf of the Scottish Golf Union in July for the Highland Spring Junior Masters and represented the club at the final held at Gleneagles.
