Carrick’s Clare is top golfing Scot

THE Carrick’s Clare Queen finished top Scot in the Saint Four Ladies Masters on Sunday – and remains the top national lady on the money list.

With just two tournaments remaining on this years ladies European Tour, Clare is sitting comfortably in 47th place in the money list and set to retain her playing rights for the upcoming 2009 season.

The 25-year-old carded rounds of 70, 74 and 71 at the Saint Four tournament in Jeju at the weekend, sealing herself a 28th place finish and a 1909 cheque.

Clare, whose best finish this season was on her home course for the ladies Scottish Open back in May where she finished tied for sixth place, has earned a total of 46,321 this year and good finishes in the remaining two events could see her surpass the 50,000 mark.
