A LOCH Lomond course has been recognised as a leading new golf destination in the UK and Ireland.
The Carrick, owned by De Vere, was voted one of the best by Golf Monthly, the UK’s number one golf magazine
The complex, which features a hotel and championship golf course, was acknowledged as one of the premier destinations in the magazine’s rankings of the top 50 places to stay and play.
In the poll that was voted for by a panel comprising editors, readers and golf holiday specialists, the venue was the newest to feature and the fourth highest ranked resort in Scotland. Overall, Cameron House and The Carrick was the 13th best in the UK and Ireland.
Opened in 2006, The Carrick has hosted the Scottish Ladies Open on the Ladies European Tour since 2007.
Daniel Hodson, director of golf and leisure at De Vere, said: “This latest poll confirms that we are achieving some of the highest standards in the UK and Ireland. It is great to see Cameron House and The Carrick inside the top 15 so soon after opening.”
