THE Carrick Golf Club’s Clare Queen remains the top Scot on the Ladies’ European Tour Order of Merit.
The 26-year-old carded two disappointing rounds of 80 at the Ladies’ Madrid Masters last week to scrape through the cut.
But she added a final round 74 to finish 15-over-par in 41st with earnings of 2,880.
Queen now sits in 46th place on the cash list, with a total of 44,412.
The event, hosted by the Casino Club de Golf, was won by Ladies Scottish Open victor Gwladys Nocera who finished on 11-under-par – a massive 26 shots better than Queen.
Scotland’s top female golfer, Catriona Matthew, managed a third place finish behind Nocera, but her cheque wasn’t enough to pull her above Queen in the money list, staying in 55th on 35,745.
