Final round slump for golfer, Clare

THE Carrick’s Clare Queen posted a disappointing third- round 74 to finish tied for 36th at the Scandinavian TPC last week.

The 25-year-old golfer opened with back to back 71s at the event, hosted by one of golf’s most renowned lady players – Annika Sorenstam.

Queen currently sits 49th in the Order of Merit.

Meanwhile, Cardross- born golfer Ross Bain will be hoping to strengthen his position in the Asian Tour Order of Merit with a good finish in the Brunei Open this week.

Bain currently sits 45th in the standings – having earned himself $61,010 already this season.

Helensburgh’s Gary Orr will also be in action this week, on the European Tour. He will take part in the SAS Masters at Arlandastad Masters in Sweden.
