DUMBARTON hope to return to action on Saturday with another away trip to face East Fife.
And they will be looking to continue the trend of results between the sides this season after both previous clashes ended in away wins.
Back in October, Sons took all three points away from New Bayview, with a Denis McLaughlin goal being the only one of the game.
But in December, the Fifers produced a fine display at the Rock, winning 3-0. Since then, Sons have only played another two matches.
East Fife are currently fifth in the second division, only ahead of Sons on goal difference and having played two games more.
They were also idle on Saturday after their home game with Clyde was called off - but they were in midweek action last week.
On Wednesday a last-minute penalty by Bobby Linn gave them a 1-0 win away to Arbroath, off the back of a 3-3 draw at Stirling Albion the previous Saturday.
Kick-off on Saturday is at the usual 3pm, with the Sons Supporters Trust's bus leaving The Counting House in Dumbarton High Street at noon.
There are still some seats left, costing £6 for trust members and £9 for non-members. To book, call Tommy Hughes on 07710 771341.
