THE Sons Supporters Trust’s annual Raise the Rock Day has been scheduled for Saturday, February 13, when Dumbarton are at home to Stirling Albion.
And the fans’ union is looking for community groups to get involved in the event, which will take place for the fourth time.
The day is an effort to attract more supporters to come along and support Sons – and has achieved its aim every year since it started in 2006.
To help, there will be an incentive in terms of entry along with other attractions, which are still to be confirmed.
Trust secretary Alan Findlay said: “Raise the Rock day is now firmly established on the Dumbarton FC calendar, and we are looking forward to it.
“The game itself should be a cracker and is our local derby, so we would like to encourage as many people to come along as possible.
“If any community group would like to be involved, please give me a call on 07904 666014.”
Last season’s Raise the Rock Day match was arguably a defining one in Sons’ season – a 2-1 win over title rivals Cowdenbeath, with Ben Gordon’s headed injury-time winner.
