Dumbarton FC players gear up for Partick Thistle friendly

DUMBARTON finally return to match action on Tuesday night when Partick Thistle visit for the first friendly of the summer.

Nine weeks since they lifted the third division trophy at Annan, Sons return to action with a squad of faces old and new.

The game will be a first chance for the fans to see new signings Ross O'Donoghue, Darren Gribben and Scott Chaplain in action.

Chaplain will have the chance to immediately line up against his old employers, having arrived from the Jags in the summer.

Ian McCall’s men were first division runners-up last season and will be looking to mount a challenge for promotion to the SPL in the coming campaign.

Kick-off is at 7.30pm, with the supporters’ bar open from 6.30pm. Admission prices are only £5 for adults and £3 for concessions, but season tickets are NOT valid.

There will also be a collection before the match for the family of Sons' captain Gordon Lennon, who died tragically last month. He also played for Thistle.
