Jim Chapman's view: Dumbarton FC v Forfar Athletic

THE game is all about players, and we showed that we have got the talent and are working so hard.

We played the game the way it should be played and the players once again gave us everything they had.

Knowing when to play football is all part of the learning curve because we are still a young side, but we are also a strong side and it is coming together at just the right time.

Stevie Murray's performance especially did not go unnoticed as he is such an important player for us and when he works like that, everybody notices. Players have to do the negative side of the game and he's done it very well today.

Ross Clark and Derek Carcary's attributes were missed last week at Cowdenbeath but we know we've got to use what we've got.

I thought they were outstanding and they were substituted just to protect them for the game ahead.

Andy Geggan would also have come off the bench if needed, but in the long term he will need surgery.

However, the spirits are so high right now that everybody wants to be part of the team. We have got where we want to go; now the hard work is to stay there.

I have no interest in what goes on elsewhere. We will just focus and regroup and come into training this week and prepare as we always do to face Elgin City.

We need to make sure we do things as we have always done, and the league position does not change that.

It is a good feeling to have it in our own hands now, but we need to take care of our own matters. If we cannot control something there is no point in worrying about it.
