Dumbarton drop vital points against Rovers

Dumbarton 1 Albion Rovers 1

DUMBARTON dropped further points against Albion Rovers on Saturday - but it could have been a lot worse.

They drew 1-1 against the Coatbridge side, who are now managed by former Sons boss Paul Martin.

Rovers took a first half lead through Ciaran Donnelly, but top scorer Ross Clark got the home side level just before half time.

There was no further scoring in the second half, and as a result Sons drop two places to fourth in the third division table.

However, leaders Stenhousemuir also drew 1-1 with East Stirlingshire, so Dumbarton remain five points off the top.
