Dumbarton players return home to face Albion Rovers

DUMBARTON finally return home on Saturday, and Albion Rovers will provide the opposition.

This will only be Sons' second match at the Rock in seven weeks – and it's one they need to win to make up for Saturday's disappointment against East Stirling.

And in opposition will be some former employees of the club, both on and off the pitch. Rovers boss Paul Martin will be in charge of a side at the Rock for the first time since being sacked by Sons in summer 2006.

Current Rovers players Robert Walker, Danny Ferry and Tommy Coyne will also be returning to their former home ground.

On Saturday the Coatbridge side lost 1-0 at home to Annan Athletic, ending an unbeaten run which stretched back to the start of October.

Sons were winners in the sides' previous encounter this season, triumphing 3-1 at Cliftonhill in September.

A repeat performance and result are vital to avoid the five-point gap between themselves and leaders Stenhousemuir getting wider.

Kick-off is at the usual 3pm, with the supporters' bar open from 1.15pm.
