DUMBARTON face a return visit to Stenhousemuir's Ochilview Park on Saturday.
The lads face East Stirlingshire, who are currently ground-sharing at the Larbert stadium, and find themselves nine points behind Sons in seventh place.
The Shire were slow to start the season but have been improving recently, winning 3-2 away to Forfar Athletic on Saturday.
They also held Sons to a 1-1 draw at the Rock back in August, despite going down to 10 men after Craig Tully was sent off.
While Dumbarton have had all week to prepare for the game, the Shire are due to face Annan tonight (Wednesday) in a rearranged fixture.
Kick-off is at the usual 3pm. The Sons Supporters Trust's bus leaves The Counting House in Dumbarton High Street at 1pm and is fully booked.
