Jim Chapman's view: Dumbarton v Fraserburgh

IT was a tricky tie at Fraserburgh and the conditions were very difficult for both teams. The most important thing was to get the victory, but our attitude was spot on and just reward for our efforts.

It wasn't a day to play football and we couldn't get any patterns going and had to keep working very hard. We created one or two chances but the weather was not conducive to any football.

The one thing we did not want was another game. Having been delayed in traffic on the way north on Friday night and in that wind, it was the last thing we needed. However, we produced a really good, professional performance and I thought we deserved to win.

It was also good to get a first clean sheet of the season. In those conditions you fear you may concede a wind-assisted goal and it just shows the work-rate of the players that we didn't do that.

I also thought Iain Chisholm's individual performance was excellent and his goal was no more than he deserved.

We have a difficult game against Berwick Rangers this Saturday and they will be smarting after their cup exit.

They will look to get their campaign back on track so there is a lot to play for. We are taking time to gel, but it is all starting to come together.

We also had a fantastic support yesterday. When the doors open and we walk out with fans cheering you on as ours were, the players really appreciate it.

It really does show that the club has the potential there and I have no doubt that we will continue to receive that kind of support this season.
