PAUL McLeod netted his third away goal for Dumbarton on Saturday but now wants to turn it on for the home support.
The striker’s goal in the 2-1 win over Montrose maintained his record of scoring in every away game since joining from Hamilton Accies in August.
And while he’s yet to grab his first goal at the Strathclyde Homes Stadium, he was delighted by Saturday’s performance.
Sons were missing wingers Stevie Murray and Derek Carcary, but Paul benefited from the performances of replacements Liam Cusack and Iain Chisholm.
He said: “I seem to be lucky away from home, but hopefully I’ll get a goal for the home fans soon. It’s nice to get a goal anywhere and I’m happy with three goals in five games.
“We worked our socks off on Saturday and were the better team overall. It’s a hard place to go and we were delighted to get the points.
“We weren’t thinking about how Stenhousemuir were getting on but when we heard they’d lost that made it an even better result.
“Stevie and Derek are two big players for us but Liam and Iain did really well and gave me great service up front.”
