Broch first stop on cup road

THE Road to Hampden starts for Dumbarton on Saturday with the long journey north to face Highland League outfit Fraserburgh in the Scottish Cup second round.

Two busloads of fans will make the 400-mile round trip to see Sons take on the in-form side.

The Broch head into the tie having beaten Nairn County 3-2 at home in the league on Saturday, their fifth unbeaten home league game this season. They are currently seventh in the 15-team league. The Fraserburgh Supporters Club is looking forward to the large Sons support visiting Bellslea Park. Club secretary Kenny McDonald said: “It will be a busy day on Saturday as there will be fans in all the pubs in town.”

The supporters’ buses leave SHS at 7.30am, and seats are still available. To book, call Tommy Hughes on 01389 758105.
