DUMBARTON complete the first quarter of the league season on Saturday when Annan Athletic visit the Rock.
The two sides have, of course, already met this season, with Sons winning the Co-operative Insurance Cup tie 5-4 on penalties following a 1-1 draw after extra time.
But this time they have no spot-kick safety net. The game only lasts 90 minutes – and it's one Dumbarton must win. They need the three points to keep the top of the third division within sight, with seven points already separating them from leaders Stenhousemuir.
After a decent start to their debut season, Annan have had two disappointing defeats in recent weeks to Forfar and Berwick.
However, they will look to make amends for their shootout defeat earlier in the season, so they are not to be underestimated.
Kickoff is 3pm, with the supporters' bar open from 12.30pm.
