Jim Chapman's view: Cowdenbeath match

WE had to defend and work so hard all through the second half and that's what I was disappointed about after the Cowdenbeath match.

You have to give Cowdenbeath credit because if you are objective they deserved their goal. The second half was the poorest we have played this season.

However, we got what we deserved for our workrate, which was absolutely incredible. We dug in, worked really hard and got our rewards.

We have done that to teams this season and lost or come away with only a point, so maybe this game is a turning point for us.

Derek Carcary came off with a head knock and had a bit of concussion. He was a loss with the assets he brought to the game and Cowdenbeath doubled up on us.

That's a respect thing and teams have come to respect us because of our quality, but we have to go a step further.

I've been where Cowdenbeath boss Danny Lennon is a couple of times and I know he will be gutted at how it has turned out. I think we got a lucky break in the end.

In the first half we played some good stuff but in the second half we really didn't kick our own backsides. Cowden got the chance to hem us in and did that.

We know our strengths and weaknesses and it was a good, exciting end to the game - except for Danny and myself.

It was a great delivery by David Gray for the winner and both our goals were taken well but you have to give Cowdenbeath credit.

They did really well, but we had the kind of quality that can win games.
