Dumbarton's Apache Army sponsor strip

DUMBARTON’S famous Apache Army have taken their support even further – by sponsoring Pellie the Elephant’s home strip.

The group of youngsters are the main backer for the club mascot this season, and have also become an official partner of the club.

Gary Black, who moderates the fans message board at www.apachearmy.co.uk said: “To be involved with the club officially is great news.

“When the Trust asked us if we would be interested in coming on board as an official sponsor, we jumped at the chance. Given we are all Trust members anyway, it seemed a good idea to help out.

“The Apache Army are a great bunch of lads and lassies who bring colour and noise everywhere following Dumbarton. Saturday was a great day.”
