DUMBARTON’S last game before the international break is at home to East Stirling on Saturday.
And even this early in the season, Sons need the points to keep in touch with the teams at the top of the third division.
Although the Shire are bottom of the league, it will not be an easy game, as the Falkirk side have their strongest squad for years.
Midfielders Paul Hay and Jimmy Gibson and striker Colin Cramb are just some of the experienced professionals signed over the summer.
On Saturday, East Stirling lost 3-0 against Forfar at their temporary home ground of Ochilview Park.
They’ll be looking to bounce back from their defeat on Saturday – Sons will have to be ready to do likewise from theirs against Stenhousemuir.
Kick-off is at the usual 3pm, with the supporters’ bar open from 12.30pm.
Sons were due to play St Mirren last night (Tuesday) in the Co-operative Insurance Cup second round. Full report in next week’s Lennox Herald.
