THE latest Dumbarton Associated Clubs cup competitions took place recently, namely the McFarlane two-bowl triples (nine teams from each club) and the China Cup.
In the McFarlane two-bowl triples, Rock BC added yet another trophy to this year’s collection. This was their fourth trophy win this season.
They finished with 17 points – eight wins and one drawn game. The runners-up were Eastfield BC with seven wins, one drawn game and one loss.
Last Saturday, the clubs played for the China Cup, with Eastfield BC running out winners with seven wins. Rock BC were second with six wins.

CARDROSS BC held their finals day last Saturday, when the following results were recorded.

THE Stewart Robertson Ladies Invitation Fours was played at Dumbarton BC last Sunday, with 15 teams taking part. After the sectional games were completed the semi finalists were:
M Mills, M Phillips, M Stickings, M Shields (Dumbarton BC); M Goldie, D Forbes, C McAlpine, H MacLean (Oban BC); N Muir, M Williams, I Johnston, J Calder (Garlochhead BC); R McGown, B O'Hare, C Beaton, P Rowan (Renton BC)
In the first semi final Helen MacLean beat Margaret Shields 5-3, while in the second semi final Patsy Rowan beat Jean Calder 10-3.
In the final Patsy Rowan's team ran out worthy winners over Helen MacLean by 10-6.
