LAST Saturday the junior section of Dumbarton IBC were host to Prestwick in the second round of the SYIBA Top Ten for the Thomas Taylor Trophy.
The games were played in a very competitive and friendly spirit with Dumbarton running out winners by four points and 58 shots to Prestwick's four points and 51 shots.
This was a wonderful result for the team and they will go on to the semi finals and finals being held next month.
DUMBARTON Ladies travelled to Whiteinch IBC last Saturday to face Coatbridge in the league playdown.
The Coatbridge ladies took the lead, settling at once to the weight of the carpet. The Dumbarton ladies tried to keep the scoring close but Coatbridge, the much stronger team, had a convincing win, 103-59.

On Sunday morning, Dumbarton hosted the Scottish Young Indoor Bowling Association Pairs and Triples area playdowns.
Dumbarton was represented by Emma McInytre and Paul Kane Jr in the pairs and by Tom Allan, Keiran Ward and Alan Air in the triples.
Emma and Paul won both their games to finish with 4 points and +16 shots. Tom, Keiran and Allan won their first game but sadly lost their second game to finish with two points and no shots.
At the conclusion of the competition Dumbarton qualified in the pairs while Inverclyde got through in the triples.
The final stages of the competition will take place at Lanarkshire IBC in Wishaw on Sunday, March 15.
THE Glasgow and District knockout championships started last Sunday with the gents singles, under 25 singles, gents pairs, gents triples and gents fours.
