Hockey: Loch Lomond ladies crash to defeat

AFTER suffering a crashing defeat to Glasgow Accies on Saturday this match on the Sunday was always going to be a tough fixture.

Loch Lomond did at least manage to get on the scoresheet in the Accies match, with Georgina Hunter grabbing the consolation goal.

Loch Lomond were down on the number of experienced players available to face Troon, but the youngsters who stepped up to the plate made a big impression.

Both teams started the game in a lively manner, both having good periods of possession and attack. However, just before half time it was the visitors who managed to break the dead-lock, converting from a free hit outside the 'D'.

Loch Lomond started the second half in a more determined manner .Against the run of play Troon caught the Loch Lomond defence on the hop and forced home another score.
