Energy firms urged to cut bills

Energy firms have faced calls in Parliament to cut household bills.

Labour MSP Duncan McNeil led calls as representatives from Scottish Power and Scottish Gas appeared before Holyrood's Local Government Committee.

They were giving evidence as part of the fuel poverty forum which did not recommend price reductions in a recent report into energy assistance.
