Billy Stark visits Dumbarton Academy

SCOTLAND under-21 football boss Billy Stark recently showed his support for Dumbarton Academy pupils during the school’s Fit 4 Life project.

Dumbarton FC manager Jim Chapman was also a guest, along with MP John McFall and MSP Jackie Baillie, as the school aimed at developing pupils’ knowledge of all aspects of health and wellbeing.

A variety of events were set up over a fortnight, which included a mixture of active pursuits to cooking events to classes based on emotional aspects of life.

A football festival, which West Dunbartonshire Council’s Football Development Team helped organise, was held on November 20, with the winning side being rewarded with tickets to the Dumbarton v Albion Rovers match two days later.
