Budding Dumbarton actors to star in Oliver

TWO budding young actors are hoping to have the audience crying out for more when they tread the boards in Oliver.

Eleven-year-old Scott McKenzie has landed the lead role of Oliver while Hannah Denholm, also 11, is playing a member of Fagin’s Gang.

Hannah is a Primary 7 pupil at St Michael’s Primary in Dumbarton and is delighted to have landed her role while Knoxland Primary pupil Scott is playing Oliver for the second time.

He is currently the Scottish Junior Song & Dance champion and has appeared on the Karen Dunbar Show and in the Wizard of Oz.

The Dumbarton pair will take to the stage in the Apollo Players production at the Pavilion Theatre, Glasgow, from Tuesday, November 18, to Sunday, November 23.

The much loved musical features songs such as Consider Yourself, Where is Love and Food, Glorious Food and tickets are available from the Pavilion box office on 0141 332 1846.
