Loch Lomond cruise company sails through to contest finals

A LOCH Lomond cruise company has made it through to the final of a national tourist competition.

Cruise Loch Lomond has been shortlisted for a prize in this year’s Scottish Thistle Awards.

A total of 36 tourism related businesses and events spanning the length and breadth of Scotland have been shortlisted in 10 different categories. Cruise Loch Lomond has been shortlisted in the innovation section.

Stuart Cordner, director of the Tarbet-based Cruise Loch Lomond, said: “The West Highland Way Rambler cruise has been a huge success, offering outdoor enthusiasts of all abilities the opportunity to access and enjoy one of the most scenic stretches of the West Highland Way on the eastern shore of Loch Lomond between Rowardennan and Inversnaid.”

Now in their 18th year, the awards are open to all businesses operating in Scotland’s tourism industry and businesses are able to enter as many of the 10 categories as appropriate.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on Friday, October 23.
