New head teacher at Lomond School

A NEW head teacher has been appointed at Lomond School in Helensburgh.

Simon Mills will take over as head in August 2009 on the retirement of Angus Macdonald after 23 years.

Mr Mills, originally from Dundee, is currently senior deputy head of Portsmouth Grammar School.

He and his wife, Ruth, have three children.
