Teen stashed pills in her bra at Live at Loch Lomond

A REVELLER was caught by police after stuffing her bra with pills at a Balloch music festival.

Kimberley Carlyle, of Kirkwood Avenue, Clydebank, appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court last week and admitted possession of the tablets, which she thought were ecstasy, with the intent to supply at the Live at Loch Lomond music festival on August 2 this year.

The 19-year-old had concealed the 35 tablets, which turned out not to be the class A drug, in her underwear but was caught out when security guards heard she might be carrying drugs.

Fiscal depute David Speirs told the court how Carlyle said to cops she had been told by her brother to stash the pills on the way in as “she was less likely to get caught”.

Defence solicitor Steven Wight said: “The irony of this case is that she is extremely naive and foolish – she was the only girl in the crowd with her brother and some others.”

Sheriff Des Leslie fined Carlyle £350.
