A BOOK tracing Victorian times in West Dunbartonshire was launched this week.
Life in the Victorian Era has been published following 12 months of co-operation between Friends of Clydebank and West Dunbartonshire Council’s culture section.
The book tells a pictorial story of life in the area during the reign of Queen Victoria and includes more than 100 photographs.
Provost Denis Agnew, officially unveiling the book at Clydebank Town Hall, said: “I am very proud of our cultural heritage and this book celebrates it beautifully.
"This initiative has brought together council services and the community, contributing and working in tandem to provide a valuable resource which informs and celebrates the heritage of West Dunbartonshire.”
Life in the Victorian Era (Clydebank, Dumbarton and the Vale of Leven) goes on sale today (Wednesday) priced £7.99. Details of its availability are on the council website at www.west-dunbarton.gov.uk.
