Boozed up man shouted abuse at Jamestown neighbour

BOOZY Stephen McGlashan kicked a neighbour’s door – and then shouted racial abuse when she told him to stop.

McGlashan, 31, appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court last week and admitted racially abusing the woman in the flat in Jamestown’s Davidson Road on August 21.

Fiscal depute Gillian Climie said the victim heard banging outside her front door and, when she went to investigate, saw a man kicking her door.

Ms Climie added: “She asked what he was doing but he told her to go away, calling her an ‘interfering P*** b****’.

A solicitor for McGlashan said his client had been offered work on a trial basis as a porter.

Sheriff Mhairi McTaggart put McGlashan on 12 months’ probation.
