Alexandria teen fined for stealing lager

A THIRSTY teenager who stole a case of lager appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court last week.
Kevin McElroy, of McColl Avenue, Alexandria, admitted stealing the case of Stella Artois on April 16 this year.
Fiscal depute Maggie Porter told the court that the 19-year-old had been caught on CCTV stealing the 15 bottle case, which had not been recovered.
Sheriff John Rafferty ordered McElroy to pay £20 compensation to Haddows off-licence in Glasgow Road, Dumbarton, where he stole the lager and fined him £80.
