RAF Tornado crashes in Arrochar

AN RAF tornado crashed in Arrochar, claiming the lives of the pilot and his navigator.

The jet went down on hillside close to the Argyll village at around 11.45am on Thursday.

The RAF Leuchars craft was on a training flight when it crashed. There were no civilian casualties as a result.

Police, the fire service and air accident investigators are on the scene trying to establish why the jet crashed.
